鈴木猛利 Calligraphy Class

Profile Born in Sumida-ku, Tokyo in 1984. Graduated from Daito Bunka University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Calligraphy. He runs an atelier and rehearsal space, Hakujitsu-kyo, in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.In 2015, he exhibited his works and performed calligraphy at the Milano Expo and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Cool Japan Japan Japan Salone. In 2016, toured five cities and six institutions in Turkey, calligraphy performance and workshop at the Japan Festival organized by the Embassy of Portugal. (Supported by The Japan Foundation) In 2017, he exhibited his work and performed calligraphy at the Japan Club Gallery in New York City. He also holds calligraphy performances and workshops in Japan and abroad to promote exchange through calligraphy.In the spirit of "If the heart is right, the brush is right," we respect not only the usage of the brush, but also the way the heart is.GreetingsRuhaku Ruhaku. Composed by Yasuhide Ito, a composer from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, based on an episode about the Shizuoka Air Raid by Dr. Hiroya Sugano, a doctor living in Shizuoka City.A drama of consolation and requiem that has no boundaries between Japan and the U.S., beginning with the memorial and requiem to the American soldiers of the B-29s who died during the Shizuoka Air Raid.The importance of a heart that remembers human dignity in the midst of war and prays for the comrades-in-arms who fought for each other and for their country. ❣️We will hear from Chieko Nakatogawa, the representative of the Uki Uki Project in Japan, about the background and thoughts that led to the conception of this opera, and the vocalists will also share their thoughts on this work.❤️
