Too much practice and you get a sore throat. Have you ever had such an experience? It is a part of your body and should not be overloaded suddenly. We will explain how to warm up gradually and then practice up to a practice piece, including how to practice. In addition, we will also introduce the breath practice method outside the gates of La Scala in Milan. We will also show you how to choose a teacher/classroom that supports such practice. The base method is a combination of the following two methods. One is the technique that Riho Tagawa learned from Silvestro Sammaritano, a longtime soloist at La Scala in Milan and chief instructor at the Milan Scala’s exclusive singer training school. The other is “Tre B (Trevi),” a method originally developed by Riho Tagawa to suit the Japanese frame and language, which is the culmination of years of vocal research by Yoshihiro Iwabuchi, a disciple of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, professor emeritus at the Kunitachi College of Music and president of the Nikikai German Song Study Group. Until now, Riho Tagawa has been teaching this method directly out of the gate. However, many people have voice problems and singing has become painful rather than enjoyable, and they come to me from all over Japan by bullet trains and airplanes.Furthermore, this situation is no different for music college students in Japan, and the need for instruction at the beginner level is one of the reasons why I have made this information public. This situation is being created worldwide, if not all of them. One of the reasons for this is that people have learned to sing in a way that is anatomically and physiologically impossible by feel, or they have mistakenly thought that a good voice = a loud or high voice, and have been singing in an impossible way that does not suit their vocal range, singing, or body mechanics. However, as I have experienced in many concerts, a good sound for the audience is a voice that has resonance, makes use of the person’s whole body, is expressive, and utilizes the natural body mechanics.
